Grimshaw screened at Soho House West Hollywood, The Hollyshorts, and made it into the top 5 in the HBO competition at Martha's Vineyard African American Film Festival. Cottrell currently holds the life rights and is developing a film about the first black football player, to fully integrate the NFL, Kenny Washington. As an Actor, Cottrell has worked on the TV shows Powerless (NBC), Criminal Minds (CBS), American Soul (BET), Cherish the Day (Own), and Dynasty (CW) to name a few. Recently he co-starred in Venus As A Boy which won the audience award at Tribeca Film Festival 2021 and can be seen on Hulu. Aside from acting, Cottrell has a passion for working with nonprofits and mentoring inner-city youth.
